Used this on my Izevsk 1941 SVT-40 with side rails. Easy to sight in at 50-100yards. Also this mount holds zero without sniper notch on the rifle. Once sighted in simply loosen the small screws on the dials to adjust the scale back to zero and your all set. No modification is needed so long as you have side rails on your rifle. Perfect mount for the history buff in you. When bought as a set should include a scope cover at cap for this unit which is an extra accessory.

I recently bought this Optic / Mount set and I couldn’t be happier. It is a faithful reproduction to the original, and when mounted properly, took minimal adjustment to zero. Extremely clear glass, solid construction of all parts. It does not come with any scope caps, so bare that in mind. The leather caps sold here are a perfect fit. Left hand cut on the back end of the mount is within perfect tolerance to allow gate clearance. I would recommend this to anyone looking to mount optics.
